SPRING BREAK

Sunrise Manor had a Hawaiian Beach themed “Spring Break.”  The day kicked off with a cookout in the courtyard. “I love the smell of hamburgers cooking on the grill, this is such a treat!” said elder Joyce Haskins.  It was a nice day to have some fun in the sun.  We played beach blanket bingo, beach ball toss, horseshoes, made art with water guns, and made sand art bracelets while we drank strawberry margaritas and piña coladas.  The neighborhoods had a beach theme decorating contest. Each neighborhood looked great and it was wonderful to see the different ideas.  We also had a stakeholder and resident Hawaiian shirt and/or hula skirt contest. Felicia McCoy, housekeeper, won the stakeholder contest and Paula Burress won the elder contest.  Elder Mary Smith said, “We should have a party like this once a week!”
