Down on the Farm

What a beautiful day to go sightseeing!  The elders were all smiles as we drove miles through the soybean, corn fields, through the tractor barn, and through the silo loading area of Boyd’s Farm in Hodgenville, Kentucky. We want to thank our tour guide, Doug Bell, who gave us a history lesson.  The elders enjoyed seeing and holding a soybean plant and corn. Mr. Warren gave advice to Mr. Bell about the corn and stated the soybean looked like it would be a good crop.  They remembered and reminisced of their days on the farm.  Mr. Butler said, “It was a good trip. I got to see what I always did!”  Mr. Warren perked up when he spotted the John Deere tractors. However, Ms. Gracie said, “I wouldn’t know what to do with it if I had it!”  We went by Salem Lake before we headed back home.
